We have chosen the graves of Privates Rogers and Osgoode, the first two casualties for the regiment, for the location of an unveiling and tree planting.
The ceremony will take place in Section 24, adjacent to the Veteran’s Section of the National Military Cemetery. The event consists of the unveiling of a 150th GGFG recognition plaque and symbolic planting of the last of the Highway of Heroes trees and the first planting of the Trees for Life planting program.
There will be a special announcement from Highway of Heroes Tree Planting Campaign and Trees for Life about a new partnership with Beechwood Cemetery, the National Cemetery of Canada, and the future of their national Tree planting campaign.
