Welcome to the 150th Anniversary website! In 2022 the Regiment will be celebrating our 150th Anniversary and we invite you to be part of it! It is my great honour to oversee this important milestone in our Regiment’s history.

 

On June 7th, 1872, Militia General Order 16 authorized the formation of a Battalion of Foot Guards in Ottawa, under command of Lieutenant-Colonel Thomas Ross.  Since then, the Regiment has forged a path through history, creating an enviable record in both peace and war, which is second to none.

 

To commemorate our past and celebrate our achievements, the 150th organizing committee has put together an exciting series of events spanning the entire year.  You will find here on this site all the information needed to fully participate in the many activities and events that are being planned.

 

I encourage all of our extended Regimental Family and friends of the Regiment to join me and your fellow Guards to make 2022 a truly outstanding year.
